Fermi Boxes

ROMI endeavors to assess air quality at the lowest possible cost.

Our original device sensing the atmospheric concentration of particulate matter (PM) has been christened the “FermiBox” in honor of Enrico Fermi, a great scientist, excelling at both theory and practice, author of the classical textbook Elementary Particles.

As you can see from the series of pictures below, our devices are connected to a power outlet inside the building using a standard cord in a “Do-it-Yourself” (DIY) fashion. The box is either tape-glued to the ground or attached to a pole using nylon cable ties.
